      First, the working principle

      The work of the ion exchange water softener is done by two processes of exchange and regeneration.

      Exchange: The raw water enters the exchanger tank from the lower part, and rises evenly through the water dividing device to hold the resin in a suspended state. The raw water is subjected to an ion exchange reaction through the resin layer to eliminate calcium and magnesium ions in the raw water, thereby achieving the purpose of softening the water.

      Regeneration: When there is a certain amount of calcium and magnesium ions in the exchanger, the exchange layer is nearly ineffective and the quality of the soft water is rapidly deteriorated. Therefore, at a certain time, it is necessary to regenerate the resin with a salt liquid to restore the exchange capacity.
